Sophie Amid-Hozour is a program associate for the CEO Fund at the Heising-Simons Foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation in 2023, Sophie worked at various nonprofits around the Bay Area, including Humanity United and Catholic Charities Youth Club in East Palo Alto. Additionally, Sophie worked at Plug and Play Tech Center, a corporate innovation platform, working to bring more diversity to Silicon Valley. Her prior experiences include creating an accelerator program for underrepresented startup founders, as well as volunteer management and program development. Sophie received her master’s degree in social work with an emphasis on social change and innovation from the University of Southern California, and a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in women and gender studies from Santa Clara University.
