News & Stories Introducing Two New Members of the Education Team Share By Barbara Chow on 12/5/2017 on 12/5/2017 I am so pleased to announce the addition of two new members to the Foundation’s Education team: Kendra Rogers, program officer, and Sarah Lerner, program associate. As a program officer for the Foundation’s Education program, Kendra Rogers will be working with many of our grantees to support their efforts to reach and engage families as well as improve the system conditions that enable high quality learning environments for young children. Kendra has extensive knowledge on issues affecting young children and families, especially those from vulnerable communities. She was previously the managing director of early childhood policy at Children Now, a Foundation grantee, and the executive director of First 5 Fresno County. Sarah Lerner is joining our team as a program associate. Sarah earned a bachelor’s degree in cultural anthropology and education from UC Santa Cruz, and a master’s degree in nonprofit management and leadership from Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Before relocating to California, Sarah was the executive assistant to the founder and CEO of Innovation: Africa. We’re thrilled to have you on board, Kendra and Sarah!
