In a ceremony filmed on December 10, Dr. Ghez received the Nobel medal and diploma. You can watch the ceremony here. Her Nobel lecture, titled “From the Possibility to the Certainty of a Supermassive Black Hole,” is also available on YouTube. Dr. Ghez is UCLA’s Lauren B. Leichtman and Arthur E.
