News & Stories Announcing our Director of Climate and Clean Energy Share By Jennifer Shipp on 2/24/2025 on 2/24/2025 Devra Wang, Director of Climate and Clean EnergyI am pleased to share that Devra Wang will be returning to the Heising-Simons Foundation as director of the Climate and Clean Energy program.Ms. Wang served as the Foundation’s inaugural Climate and Clean Energy program director from 2016 to 2021, guiding more than $125 million in philanthropic support for leading organizations advancing climate and clean energy. From 2022 until recently, she was a partner at Glass Wing Strategies, where she helped philanthropies, donors, and non-profit organizations develop impactful strategies to advance climate and clean energy policies and markets. As part of that role, she also coached executives on building operational strategies and managing their teams.Previously, Ms. Wang served as program director at the Energy Foundation, focusing on strategies and grantmaking to reduce pollution from the power sector in the United States. She also served as director of the California Energy Program at the Natural Resources Defense Council for more than a decade, where she was instrumental in securing several groundbreaking policies including California’s statewide greenhouse gas emissions limit (AB 32) and the state’s leading utility energy efficiency commitments.Ms. Wang’s first day at the Foundation will be March 3, 2025.
