News & Stories COVID-19 Response: Supporting the COVID – 19 Childcare Project Share By Nondas Paschos on 6/9/2020 on 6/9/2020 The Foundation has awarded a $400,000 grant to the Silicon Valley Community Foundation to support the COVID – 19 Childcare Project, which aims to protect and preserve scarce childcare spaces and home-based providers in the face of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The Silicon Valley Community Foundation Center for Early Learning established the COVID-19 Childcare Project to provide critical economic relief and technical support for private childcare providers in San Mateo, Santa Clara, and San Francisco counties. The partnership strives to maintain and preserve the supply of childcare in our region as well as provide support to a sector that serves as a valuable resource to underserved families.
