California Lags Behind Other States in Quality and Access to State-Funded Preschool

California ranks 14^thin access to preschool for 4-year-olds, behind Oklahoma, Vermont, and Florida, among others. The data comes from the 2018 State of Preschool Yearbook, which is published annually by the National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER) at Rutgers University.
